Rainbow Loom / Twist Bandz

Hello World!

Today I am going to tell you about a toy called Rainbow Loom!
Bracelets
My 24 Bracelets
Rainbow Loom is my favorite toy because it's fun to make them, others make them and you can share, trade and give to your friends and family! There are many patterns chains bracelets and charms you can create and trade.

Rainbow Loom also known as Twist Bandz, was invented by Cheong Choon in 2010 after seeing his daughters make rubber band jewelry. Then he formed a factory in China called Choons Design. The toy was not very popular until 2013, when his daughter renamed the toy Rainbow Loom and made instructional videos about how to make bracelets, necklaces and charms.

Rainbow Loom Kit
Rainbow Loom has a board with pegs, which you place colored rubber bands on. Then you loop the rubber bands and take the bracelet off the loom. The Rainbow Loom kit includes 600 colorful rubber bands, 30 c-clips (which are used to close the bracelet) and a pegboard. The kit is sold for $14.99 and the refill pack includes 600 bands and 30 clips. You can buy these accessories at Michael's, Amazon and other online sources.

You can make a single chain rubber band bracelet with 12 bands. (You might need more if your wrist is larger) To make a single chain bracelet gather 12 bands. Next take one band and place another in it. Repeat until all bands are gone and then slide the end of the bracelet inside a clip. Slide the other end in too. Your finished bracelet should look like this:

Another way to make a single chain is with the loom. Make sure that the red arrow is pointing away from you. Place one band forward until you reach the end of the loom. Then make a figure eight and turn it back on it's self. Place that on the last peg. Then turn the loom so that the red arrow is pointing toward you. Loop the bands by pushing the back of the hook against the cat band back and then take the bottom band and take it off the peg. Loop that band on the next peg and repeat until you reach the end. After that take the figure off. Finally place the c-clip and your done!! It should look like this:

You can make a fishtail with 25 bands or more depending on the wrist size. First place one figure eight band on two fingers that are spread apart. Next place one band on the two fingers. Do step 2 twice. take the bottom band and slide it off. Repeat all steps except do not do a figure eight. Eventually the bottom of the bracelet should reach your palm line. Finally take all the bands of your fingers and  then place the c-clip.Your finished bracelet should look like this:
