Hello Everyone!
Over Spring Break I went to India to attend my cousin's engagement and to meet family. I was very excited to go to India and take the international plane flight. I traveled with my mom on the plane flight flying with Emirates. The experience in the plane was really nice, Emirates had great service. I first flew to Dubai and then to New Delhi in India.

Once we finally reached the airport in New Delhi after flying to Dubai, my Mom and I collected our baggage and went to security checks. We soon found my two cousins coming from their flight. We then left the airport to go to Ambala where my Aunt and Uncle lived. The drive took about three and a half hours to reach Ambala from the Delhi Airport. I reached my Aunt and Uncle's house where I met them, my grandparents and my four cousins two of which had came from the airport. I then took a tour of the house. It was very large and had a huge balcony.
After visiting these places I attended my cousin's engagement ceremony a couple days later. We stayed in a hotel where we would be having the function the next day. My favorite part of the ceremony was a slideshow that contained many pictures of the past. Then people performed some nice skits and songs on the stage. There was an enormous food court with lots of Indian Food, Snacks and Sweets. We slept the night and drove back to my Aunt and Uncle's house the next day.
I also liked playing cricket, a popular sport in India, Parcheesi, Monopoly and Carom Board. I also fed a cow at gaushala. It was almost time to come back from India so we went to Delhi where I visited The Kingdom of Dreams before going to the airport. The Kingdom of Dreams is a large palace like area. It was decorated beautifully with lights everywhere and the ceiling like a sky shined down on everyone. The walls were huge and had metals in designs shaped onto them. They present plays and have many shops where you can buy merchandise. I watched a play called Jhumroo. Afterwards, my mom looked in some shops and we ate food. I ate Indian pizza and an Indian Ice cream called Kulfi.
In conclusion I loved my trip and hope to go back to India to explore through the different culture of doing things. For example I found that driving is abnormal than driving in the U.S. The drivers seat is on the left, seat belts are not mandatory and many people honk instead of putting up the indicator. and I want to sight see more places and eat more tasty food as well.
